CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
To the special ladies at Looking Glass a very big thank you for making my families dreams become a reality.
I shall start off by telling you we are a family with 3 children Joshua 9, James 5 and Madison 2.
My husband and myself are from South Africa and we had to make the difficult decision of leaving behind our loyal border collies when immigrating to the UK over 10 years ago. As you can imagine this was extremely difficult and I personally made a decision never again to have pets.
However as my family grew my children were always so excited when seeing friends and families dogs. This still did not sway my thinking of again owning pets until I by chance stumbled on the web site of Looking Glass.
I was spellbound by the pictures of these gorgeous tiny horses that were so miniature but perfect in every way.
These little horses that one could keep in a regular size garden in a stable (playhouse designed for children but big enough to home a special little miniature horse) I found myself on a quest to find the perfect little horse as a christmas gift to my children.
Team Looking Glass at all times were professional and patient as when i started looking I myself had no idea of what to me was the perfect coloured horse (this is where the patience came in, Image sent pics after pics of different coloured horses and not once did I feel obligated to buy a horse as I was reassured they would find me the perfect horse I would instantly fall in love with.
These ladies mean business, they will always get it right and right they did, my children received the best gift a parent could ever buy their children, Princess Tinkerbelle a beautiful gold horse with a mop of blonde hair (mane and tail).
They were right, it was love at first sight, she really is gorgeous and a celebrity around York where we live.
The children come home from school and Tinkerbelle follows them around the garden, she already has given them hours of entertainment. The boys are only too pleased to change the water and top up her horse mix.
This really has taught them responsibilities and a valuable lesson I feel for children today, before they would be happy indoors playing console games and watching TV, in my home this has all changed, the kids are always outdoors breathing fresh air and as I say living in the real world.
Joshua has also found Tinkerbelle has opened the doors to little girls whom think he is the luckiest boy ever. (He of course thinks he is pretty cool, the envy of all the kids).
Looking Glass team are always on hand to give valuable advice and support regarding behavioral as well as general horse well being. (First class customer service)
With thanks and love the Bremner family.
Re: LOOKING GLASS STUD
I confirm that over the last few years of knowing and doing business with the above I have had nothing but excellent service, helpful and sound advice and am more than happy with my horse purchases. I believe they are amongst the most knowledgeable individuals breeding miniature horses in the world and pay attention to breeding animals with good limbs and overall excellent conformation and good health rather than aiming for the under-nourished look (and often that is the case) which seems to be the trend with so many.
I have always found the Looking Glass team to be extremely knowledgeable regarding the horses they sell and the manner in which they are produced. They support the natural mode of showing as opposed to some of the latest fashionable “imported ideas” which can be both cruel and detrimental to the good health of the horse, and personally I have found their training methods most effective. My niece who shows my minis for me for the most part has benefited immensely from the training given to her by Image.
During the years I have known Image and her Mum I have found them to be an honorable individuals who speak well of all of the miniature horse societies and the individuals involved in them and in particular the Miniature Horse Club of Great Britain and IFMHS and they always strongly recommend that the minis I own should be registered and shown appropriately in all of the societies for miniature horses. They have a wealth of knowledge virtually incomparable to anyone when it comes to the history of the miniature horse/Latin American miniature horse and so on. A knowledge that everyone could benefit from tapping into.
I look forward to that knowledge being committed to paper in due course in the form of a book long overdue. I for one will be in the front of the queue to purchase.
I have found their miniatures to be priced and sold sensibly to reflect the needs of the purchaser and personally I would have been totally confounded without their sound advice regarding the various stages that have to be experienced as a new owner of a “miniature” horse. I would certainly recommend both experienced miniature horse owners and inexperienced potential owners of a miniature horse to seek their advice and help. If considering purchasing a miniature horse, once again I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to make their purchase from Looking Glass Stud. I for one have always been delighted with my own miniature horses and have no regrets whatsoever in my dealings with Looking Glass.
If I confess to any disappointments at all it has been due to the occasions when they have offered me a superb animal and I have dithered and meanwhile someone else has purchased ahead of me.
I for one, as a person completely new to miniature horses just over four years ago have had some of the most amazing experiences with my first miniature colt purchased from The Looking Glass Stud – the lovely Looking Glass Little Africa who was Reserve Champion Falabella at the Mini HOYS in 2007 as a two year old. No mean feat for a two year old colt.
I can only say thank you to Image and her Mum of The Looking Glass Stud and be glad that I paid attention to their suggestions on my journey.
